James Ovie Franklin, age 63, of Bainbridge, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. He was born on September 19, 1954 in Indianapolis to Carlos and Lavena Franklin. James worked for many years for K and K Fence Company, as well as for General Cable. He married Marsha on September 26, 1987 in Indianapolis, and together they enjoyed thirty years of marriage. He was an avid deer hunter and outdoorsman who loved to travel and spend time with his family. James was also a talented craftsman who enjoyed working with wood, building birdhouses, cribs, decks and gazebos.
He is survived by his wife: Marsha D. Franklin of Bainbridge; daughters: Angela (George) Gaskin, Julie Ann (Michael) Price, and Jennifer Leanne (Christopher) Whaley; son: Randy Steven (Amy) Barker; sisters: Donna Mae (Larry) Harmeyer and Linda (Walter) Adams; brother: Roy (Jan) Franklin; as well as eight grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Carlos and Lavena Franklin; sister Susie Conwell; and infant daughter Amy Franklin.
