James B. “Bud” Mosier, 96, of Bloomington died at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital on November 25, 2011.
Born May 29, 1915 in Bloomington, he was the son of Fred and Lydia (Skirvin) Mosier. He married Helen Louise (Lentz) Mosier on September 2, 1939. He graduated from Bloomington High School in 1934 and attended Indiana University. Bud joined RCA Corporation in 1941. He was employed there for 11 years and advanced to manager of plant and manufacturing engineering. Later he was plant manager with Capehart Farnsworth in Flora, RCA International in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Magnavox Corporation in Jefferson City, TN; and National Furniture Manufacturing Company in Evansville. In 1971 he moved to Lake Beshear KY, and lived there for 30 years before returning to Bloomington. He was a member of First United Church. He enjoyed woodworking, playing golf, fishing, traveling extensively with his wife Louise. Bud was active in the Boy Scouts. He was an Eagle Scout and became President of the White River Council and received the Silver Beaver Award for outstanding service to the Boy Scouts.
Survivors include one son, James Mosier (Christine) of Wheaton, MD; two grandsons, Michael Mosier (Jillian) and Daniel Mosier all of Gwynn Oak, MD; one great-granddaughter, Mandolin Mosier; two nieces and one cousin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Louise, his daughter, Donna Dianne Mosier and his brother William Mosier
