James Miller, 77, of Anderson, passed away on October 22, 2012 at Countryside Manor.
He was born on February 17, 1935 in Arcadia. James graduated in 1953 from Jackson Central High School, Arcadia. He retired from Chrysler, Kokomo in 1992 after 37 years. After retirement he performed contract work at CMI in Bristol, New Venture Gear in Muncie and Navistar in Indianapolis. He was a member of Cicero Masonic Lodge, enjoyed hiking, astronomy, golf and geo caching.
James is survived by his spouse, Christine Thomas Miller, children, Jeffrey Miller of Tipton, Phillip Jeannie Hiatt of Elkhart and Sandra Rod Silvernale of Phoenix, AR. Grandchildren, Jessica Rion Snyder, Travis Miller, Kasey Nick Rulon, Matthew, Rebecca, Gregory and Penny Miller, all of Tipton. Jason and Joshua Schoettmer of Elkhart, Causha Danny Hoover of Elkhart, Samantha, Natalie and Crystal Silvernale of Phoenix, AR. Great-grandchildren, Joshua Schoettmer of Elkhart, Kheria Miller of Cicero, Destiny Ortiz of Phoenix and Danielle and Bryce Hoover of Elkhart. Also surviving are siblings, Robert Darlene Miller of Knoxville, TN, Richard Joyce Miller of Tipton, Phyllis Gene Kennett of Cicero, Becky Gary Roark of Richmond, VA and Judy Gary Paulin of Plainfield. Brother-in-law, Robert “Steve” Thomas of Sun City, AR.
He was preceded in death by parents, Robert H. & Betty Pritchard Miller, sister, Barbara Miller and father-in-law, Robert F. Thomas and daughter-in-law, Deb Miller.
