James Michael Cawley, 72, of Boise, Idaho passed away suddenly at home on April 13, 2016. He was born in Pocatello, ID on November 12, 1943 to the late Jim and Norma Cawley.  Mike graduated from Pocatello High School in 1961.  From February 1962 to August 1962 Mike served in the US Army.  After the Army, Mike worked in the sheet metal industry first in Pocatello and then in Oregon until he retired in 2004.  Mike left Pocatello and moved to Aloha, OR in 1966 where he lived for a number of years. In 1996 he married his high school sweetheart, Susan Sperry, and they spent 18 wonderful years together.  Mike and Susan moved to Vancouver, WA when they got married and then in 2006 they moved to Meridian, ID.

Mike was kind, loving, and had a huge heart along with an amazing smile and laugh.  He loved his family, friends and his dog Nicki.  Thank you to everyone that supported Mike after the passing of Susan whom he missed so very much the last year and a half.  Favorite past times of Mike’s were fishing and watching the Seahawks play football.  Mike always started the day with the daily newspaper.  When Mike moved to Boise he started to pan for gold and spent much money, time, and sweat on this activity that he enjoyed with his friends.

Mike is survived by his son Chris Cawley of Portland, OR Cary Cawley of Tacoma, WA and Jimmy Cawley of Tacoma, WA; stepsons Todd Lowman of Boise and Brad Lowman of Boise; a sister Gloria Combs of Green Valley, AZ; his step grandchildren, Joel, Jake, Kylie and Erin.

Mike was loved so much and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
