James Michael Bullock, 58, of Cornelius, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the WG Bill Hefner VA Medical Center.
Mike served proudly in the Marine Corp. in Naples, Italy during the Vietnam War where he received a plaque as the youngest Marine at the age of 17. He worked as a lineman with Duke Power until he became disabled in 1991. Mike enjoyed nature, fishing, scuba diving and loved his dogs. He was a man with tough determination and the warmest of hearts.
He was the son of Fannie Jones Putnam of Cornelius and the late Holmes Bullock and a loving son to stepfather, Don Putnam. James is survived by his best friend “Sweet Peggy” Lowrance of Davidson; daughters, Whitney Bullock of Charlotte and Erika Bullock of Elkin; brothers, Thomas Bullock of Cornelius, Kelly Bullock (Kristi) of Denver, NC and Jon Bullock (Kristi) of Atlanta, GA and his sister Barbara Broom (John) of Cornelius.
