James Maxwell Gibbs Sr. (Mack as he was affectionally called) was son of the late Mable MaeAllen Gibbs Alexander and William Louis Pearson was born on January 28, 1953 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, step father Clyde Alexander, one sister Brigail Alexander, one granddaughter Rajah Jefferies and one great granddaughter Misha Worley. He departed this life on October 7, 2019 at Stanly Total Living in Stanly, NC.
Mack attended public school in Lincoln County, NC. He was a member of the United States Army as a cook. He later returned home to work in textile at Delta Apparel and South Fork Industries.
Mack loved everything about the Carolina Tar Heels and the Carolina Panthers.
Mack leaves many fond and loving memories in the hearts of his wife Margaret Moore Gibbs, children Kimberly Jefferies, Amber Gibbs, Eli Gibbs, William Edwards, Marquita Bess (Frank), James Gibbs Jr. (Christina), and Chantal Gibbs. His Siblings Ronald Alexander, Christopher Alexander (Dawn), Michelle King (Charles), Clyde Alexander Jr. (Kathy), Fannie Bratcher, Gerald Pearson (Stella), Gregory Pearson, Daryl Pearson (Janice), Martha McClain and Jeannie Pearson. Step-Mother Ruth Pearson. Twelve Grandchildren, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
