James Maurice Roos, predeceased by his Mother, Margaret Ranatza Roos; Father Charles Roos; brother Charles Roos; and sister Josephine Roos. James Maurice Roos, born 8/20/1927, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. “Jimmy” was married twice; first being to Kerry Marie Cooke, deceased in 1972. They had 3 children, Kim James, Gawain George, and Kerianne Roos Ellison. These children had his grandchildren as follows: Chad Schmalz, Taylor Roos, and Eve Ellison Smallwood. From these grandchildren he was blessed with the following great grandchildren: Thea Schmalz, Lofton Smallwood, and Pierson Smallwood. Jim’s second marriage was to Marilyn Noto Heuer in 1973. Marilyn had 3 children from her previous marriage to Alfred A. Heuer, namely Keith David Heuer (deceased), Jill Heuer Raschke, and Gregory Michael Heuer. These children had his grandchildren as follows: Paige Raschke and Christopher Raschke, Douglas M. Heuer and Samantha Heuer Gates. From these grandchildren he was blessed with the following great grandchildren: Vaida Logue, Gianni Gates and Lola Belle Gates. James Roos led a remarkable life. He was a gifted craftsman, musician, educator, and fisherman. In 1945, he joined the USO and was a member of a band that toured the Pacific.
