WINSTED –MACGREGOR – James MacGregor, Jr., passed away on September 29, 2016. He was the loving husband of Julie Annette (Ruhm) MacGregor for almost 50 years. Born October 18, 1938 in Oneonta, NY; the son of the late James MacGregor, Sr., and Ida Lillian (Decker) MacGregor. James was Vice President of Sales for Robert E. Morris, Co. in Granby CT until retiring in 2005. He was a real outdoorsman who enjoyed many years of hunting and hiking on the family mountain in NY and fishing and camping with his family. He also loved creating unique carpentry projects with the love of his life. He was an avid Yankees fan, and enjoyed the music of Neil Diamond. Jim especially loved all things Cars. He never missed an episode of Top Gear!In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lisa Lang and husband Jason of Norfolk and Andrea Richardson and husband Scott of Torrington; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Scott and Jaclyn Richardson and Kelsey and Caleb Andreasen and Cody Lang; a great grandson, Theodore Barber; and two sisters, Helen Glover of NC and Lillian Lavech and husband Frank of Colchester.
