Those left to honor Jim’s memory include his wife Linda; his daughters, Chris (and Travis) Propst of Grinnell, and Shelley Dodd of Newton; his grandchildren, Tanner Hathaway, Lindsey Kriegel, Josh Kriegel, Nick Kriegel, Brennen Dodd and Drew Dodd; his mother, Margaret Olson of Grinnell; his sister, Linda (and Myron) Manley of Osceola, Iowa; and many aunts, cousins, and good friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Marlyn Olson.
Jim was a lifelong member of the UAW; was a member of the Kellogg Volunteer Fire Department for 18 years; had served on the Kellogg City Council; was a member of the Kellogg Historical Society. He enjoyed being with his familya”especially his grandchildren.
Jim had worked for Claire’s Cleaners; Wilcox-Garland Furniture; Farmhand, Inc.; Midwest Manufacturing; the Maytag Company; and was self-employed as a RV transporter.
