James M. Angenendt, 66, of rural Jacksonville, IL died Saturday, August 6, 2011, at his residence. He was born May 21, 1945, in Glasgow, MO; the son of William August and Gertie Mae Kelso Angenendt.

He is survived by a daughter, Marcy Angenendt of Glasgow, MO; a son, Steve Angenendt (wife, Amanda) of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Hannah Weyl, Cameron Angenendt, and Callie Angenendt; a special friend, Esther Turner of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Frances Fizer; and three brothers, Bill, Elmer, and Richard Angenendt.

Mr. Angenendt served stateside with the US Army from 1966 to 1972. He formerly owned and operated service stations in Winchester and Murrayville. He later was a truck driver for many years until his retirement. More recently, he worked for the Women’s Crisis Center in Jacksonville.
