James Long, age 35, of Tucson, Arizona, and formerly of Spencer, died on July 6, 2016, in Tucson. James Daulton Long, the son of Damon Truitt Long and Kathy Lynn (Rendleman) Christopherson, was born on May 22, 1981, in Napa, California.
He graduated from Spencer High School in 1999. He had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Spencer. James enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, driving, being outdoors, music, computers, shoes, and dogs.
Left to cherish James’s memory are his children, Destiny and Landen Long of Spencer; his mother Kathy Christopherson and her husband John of Okoboji; a brother, Mike Long and his wife Sundae of Des Moines; a sister, Katrina Heller and her significant other Alex Henriquez of Spencer; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Damon Long; grandparents, Jim and Bev Rendleman and Daulton and Vera Bernice Long.
