Retail store owner in Passaic County, WWII Navy Veteran who relished his time with his children, grand children and great grand children.

James G. Londregan passed away on Oct. 21st, 2017 surrounded by his family at home. He was 91 years old.

Jim was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ and served in World War II in the US Navy as a Petty Officer 2d Class/Store Keeper and saw duty in North Africa, Italy, Japan and China. Jim met his wife Veronica (Ronnie) while on leave from the Navy in 1946 and they married in 1949. Jim utilized the skills he learned in the Navy and he and Ronnie were successful owners of retail liquor stores in Paterson, NJ for over 30 years. They always treated their customers with respect and offered their friendship and support in their daily interactions with them.

Jim was an active member of St. Anthony’s Parish in Hawthorne, NJ and enjoyed close relationships with many of the clergy there. When James and Ronnie retired to Lakehurst, NJ, they became new members of St. Dominic’s Church in Brick Township. Jim was a member of the Hawthorne Elks and a number of retail trade associations. Jim spent much of his retirement years offering support to his four sons and their families and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand planting gardens, putting up Christmas decorations, offering landscaping expertise, or simply caring for his 11 grand children and great grandchildren. Jim was an active computer user and loved to send emails to family and friends as well as share photos and music.

Jim is survived by his four sons, Kevin Londregan, Brian Londregan and his wife, Diane, Mark Londregan and wife, Lillian Brennan and Wayne Londregan and his wife, Gina Londregan as well as eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Jim was pre-deceased by his wife, Veronica, (Ronnie).
