James LeRoy AllenAge 92 of Owosso passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018.Funeral services will be held 3pm Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Homes, Owosso Chapel with Pastor Chris Higgins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12pm until the time of service.James was born June 21, 1926 in Henderson, the son of Roy and Dorothy (Cords) Allen.He was a member of the First Church of Christ and served in the United States Navy. James enjoyed bowling, playing cards, trips to the casino and horse races. He had a love for Detroit Tigers Baseball and Lions Football. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.James married Phyllis (Wilson) Losey in Durand in 1965 and retired from U.S. Brick after 37 years of service.He is survived by his wife Phyllis of 52 years; children Nancy Bemus, Patricia (Michael) Oelfke, Christine (Roger) Castle, Larry (Linda) Losey, Gary (Karen) Losey, Mike Losey, Randy (Michel) Losey; daughter-in-law Theresa Allen; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and 1 on the way; sisters Louise Burley, Charlotte Howard, Dottie Scherer; brother Harvey Allen; several nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.James was predeceased by his parents, sons James Allen and Terry Losey, granddaughter Rhonda Chovanec, brothers Elmer and Alvin Allen, brothers-in-law Vincent Scherer and A.J.
