James Leon Anthony was born in Hollywood, California on June 3rd, 1956. He succumb to his illness on March 7th, 2022 at St, Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.
James was a Native American of the Chickasaw and Chactaw nations in Ada, Oklahoma.
James was proud to be a Master Mason, he was initiated June 22, 2012, he was passed on October 26, 2012. He was raised to the Sublimed degree of Master Mason on January 18th, 2013, in Grand Junction Lodge #173. He was Worshipful Master of Grand Junction Lodge #173 in 2016 & 2020. James was also a member of Fruita Masonic Lodge #120, and was Worshipful Master in 2018. James was a Scottish Rite Mason initiated on May 2, 2013 and a member of the Knight of St. Andrews. James was also a proud member of the Widow Sons motorcycle club. James rode for several charities, including toys for tots. James was a Proud member of the United States Air Force From 1974-1977. James was an Aircraft Mechanic on the F-4, F-5 and F-18 Fighters. James was Honorably discharged and became an Aircraft Mechanic in his civilian life at Northrop Avaition. After James retired he used his talents to become an auto mechanic.
James only living relatives are Joy Brooks (Frederick) of Carbondale Colorado, and a nephew Clayton Brooks from Maine. Along with his caregiver and soulmate Diane Walters of Fruita, Colorado.
Diane Walters was his constant companion through his illness and, her along with Joy were at his side until the end.
