James Leo Mater 51, of Lochbuie, Colorado, passed away on April 6, 2015 in Brighton, Colorado.
Jim was born on March 24, 1964 to Leo and Thelma Mater in Kremmling, Colorado. He was raised and attended schools in Kremmling, graduating from Kremmling High School in 1982. After high school, Jim joined the United States Army and served for six years. After receiving an Honorable discharge, Jim continued to serve in the Army National Guard for an additional twenty years with Co A 147th Brig Supp Batt.
Jim married Doreen Duran in June of 2000 and together they lived in Lochbuie. Jim was employed by Baker Hughes in Brighton at the time of his death. In his private time Jim enjoyed rescuing dogs and cats, motorcycling and especially the Oakland Raiders.
Jim was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his wife, Doreen, daughter DawneMaree (C.J. Villegas) Duran of Lochbuie, sisters Maxine (Gary) Hallsted of Platteville and Veronica (Bruce) James of Kremmling.
