James Lee Lankford, 93, of Terre Haute passed away on May 11, 2013 at 7:10 p.m. He was born on October 19, 1919 to Jess Lankford and Viola Loveall Lankford. James served in the United States Army in WWII as a Paratrooper. He enjoyed his dogs and his cats.
James is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Bettie” Bryant Lankford; son Mitchell Lankford, wife Glenda; daughter Sharon Voorhees; step daughter Diana Ramey; grandchildren Robert Lankford, Terry Lankford, Don Lankford, Bobby Lankford, Wayne Cottrell, Debbie Faris, Rick Lewis, and Randy Lewis; great grandchildren Mitchell, Brittany, Ashley, Terri Lea, Donny, Laurie, Shannon, Shyanna, Stephanie, Wesley, Karley, and Austin; and 4 great- great grandchildren Alex, Kinley, Macy, and Kolton. He is preceded in death by his parents; son Jimmy Lankford; sister Betty Mae Meneely; and great grandson Tony Lankford.
