James “Jim” Lawrence McNally, Jr. of Cromwell, CT, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving wife after a courageous battle with cancer on October 27, 2016. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late James L. McNally, Sr. and Mary Doris (Roche) McNally. Jim is survived by his wife and devoted caregiver, Lisa Libera, and his four children, Nicholas and wife Andrea, Jillian, Jackson, and Maya McNally. Jim’s proudest accomplishment was being the father of four amazing children. Each child came to him in a special way, and each has brought him vast amounts of joy. Jim is survived by his three sisters Marilyn Wajda and Richard, Carol Fraher and George, and Patricia Buckridge and John, his in-laws Raymond and Mary Ann Libera, and his sisters-in-law and brother in-law Tara Libera and Christine Delisle, Jason and Jodi Libera, as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Jim was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen McPhee.
Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, doting father, caring brother, favorite uncle and dedicated friend. He found his soul mate in Lisa, and they savored the time they spent together traveling on many trips and relaxing in the Rhode Island sun. They truly loved every moment they spent together. He also relished the time he spent with each of his children. He shared his love of sports with Nicholas, including watching the Patriots win many Super Bowls.
