James L. Murdock, 64, Anderson, passed away March 15, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis after an extended illness.
He was born September 1, 1947 in Elwood, Indiana, and resided in Madison County most of his life. James was a 1965 graduate of Elwood High School and Indiana Wesleyan University. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 31 years of service. James was an avid coin collector. He was the Facilitator at the Anderson Center and President of the Alumni Association at the Crestview Center.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kay Shoults Murdock; mother, Darlene Harris Sullivan of Elwood; sons, Chad Murdock of Marion and Chris Murdock Lori of Alexandria; brother, Randy Murdock Cheryl of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; sister, Dena Rominger Dick of Alexandria; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James “Henry” Murdock; and step-father, Orval Sullivan.
