James L. D’Andrea, 84, of Woodin St., Hamden, passed away June 11, 2012 in St. Raphael’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Josephine Vecchi D’Andrea. Born in New HavenDec. 11, 1927, he was the son of the late James V,. and Tullio Navaretta D’Andrea Mennone. He worked at Echlin Manufacturing for 42 years where he was manager of sales and art promotion. He retired in 1995. He was an excellent artist and cartoonist and was a fan of Horse Racing, Big Bands, Jazz and Frank Sinatra. He was also a history buff. He is survived by one son, James J. D’Andrea of Hamden; two daughters, Cynthia (Ralph) Miranda of New Haven and Janet D’Andrea of Bethesda, MD.; two brothers, Ronald D’Andrea of North Haven and Robert (Sandra) D’Andrea of Hamden; and one special grandson, James Vincent Miranda.
