Mr. James L. Christy Jr., age 83, of Milford, beloved husband of 63 years to Lyna Dingman Christy of Milford, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at Milford, Hospital.
Son of the late James L. and Doris Winch Christy Sr., he was born in Hamden,CT on July 24, 1926. James was a telephone installer for many years at SNET, before his retirement. He served with pride and honor in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post #7788.
In addition to his beloved wife, survivors include his son Robert J, Christy and his wife Starlette of Milford, three loving grandchildren Robert Jr. and his wife Carmen, Brian and Tricia, two cherished great-grandchildren Preston and Lorelai. He is also survived by a step-granddaughter Jennifer and several nieces and nephews.
