James H. Keeline, age 76, of Spirit Lake, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at his home in Spirit Lake. He was born on September 5, 1938, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to John B. Keeline II and Jennie Mickelson.

Jim graduated from Cherokee High School in 1958. He owned and operated See Alaska Inc. guide service for 32 years, before retiring to Spirit Lake. During his retirement, he was able to travel to many different areas of the world hunting and fishing, with his favorite travels being to Africa. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping Jeff Baker at Real Life Designs in Spirit Lake.

Jim is survived by a sister, Joan O’Leary, and her husband Pat of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; brother, John Keeline, and his wife, Thais of Colorado Springs, Colorado; nephews, Kevin O’Leary (Claire Burton) Toronto, Ontario, Mike O’Leary of Florida, Jim O’Leary (Shelly) of Hamilton, Ontario, John Keeline (Mona) of Skiatook, Oklahoma and Andy Keeline (Jennifer) of Calhan, Colorado; niece, Christine Charter (Tom) of Houston, Texas; and many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
