James K. Waibel, age 79, of Goodland passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, December 5, 2014.
James was born January 7, 1935, in Lafayette, Indiana to Anna Louise (Gruber) and George Washington Waibel.
James attended the Gilboa School in Remington and was a member of the Remington United Methodist Church. He was a lifetime farmer and was passionate about his role as a farmer. On April 20, 1958, in Rensselaer,
James married Audrey J. Guth who passed away May 15, 2014. Jim loved his wife and his family dearly and enjoyed being with friends.
He is survived by his loving family, Kenneth (Mitzi) Waibel, son, Goodland, Ind., Julie (Robert) Gillen, daughter, Indianapolis, Ind., four grandchildren, Adam Waibel, Stefanie (John) Baer, James (Meghan) Gillen and Derek Gillen, three great-grandchildren and three brothers, Leon Waibel, Lafayette, Ind., Harold (Arleta) Waibel, Remington, Ind., and Gene (Diane) Waibel, Remington, Ind.
