James Joseph Jiminaro “JJJ”, 65, passed away peacefully on March 7th. James was born in Long Branch on July 12, 1956 to Joseph and Connie Jiminaro and was raised in Little Silver.
After graduating from Christian Brothers Academy, James earned a B.A. degree in History at Elmira College in 1978 where he was active in alumni affairs and never missed his yearly reunions. James was a proud and dedicated member of the Little Silver Volunteer Fire Department, serving as Fire Chief in 1998 and 2011. He also served five terms as Fire Company President, served as an Engineer, and was a mentor to the younger generation of firefighters. Professionally, James held various financial positions in the banking industry at several local community banks. A devout sports fan, he loved the Giants and the Yankees and enjoyed playing golf and softball. James lived a life of service to others and will always be remembered for his dedication to the local community.
James was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving daughters; Kathleen Connors and husband Ty of Brick and Christina Bardes and husband Dave of Toms River as well as his grandchildren; Hannah, Mackenzie, and Ty Jr.; and several cousins.
