James Johnson, February 15, 2012.
Mr. Johnson was born September 24, 1940 in Brady, the son of Robert and Julie (Daniels) Johnson. He married Susie Ivey December 27, 1963 in Nolanville. He served in the U. S. Army from 1963-1965. He worked for Logan Wendler for 4 years, for Oscar Grossman for 19 years and for the last 27 and one half years for Academy I. S. D. 27 years as a bus driver and vehicle maintenance.
He was a simple country boy who loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a Baptist. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; brother Wesley Johnson; sister Sue Grubbs and half sister Dale Beck. Survivors include his wife Susie Johnson of Academy, son James Allan Johnson of Cypress, daughter Linda Sue Hill of Little River, three brothers Curtis Johnson of Longview, Bob Johnson of Holland and Roger Johnson of Rogers; four sisters Marian Hinze of Holland, Judy Hayes of Rogers, Molly McDowell of Rogers and Myrtle King of Clifton. Four grandchildren Jacob Allan Johnson, Clay Johnson, Heather Johnson and Shane Hill.
