Jimmy Black, 49, of Grand Ridge, passed away August 15, 2010 in Farm Ridge Township from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Jim was born May 19, 1961 in Streator to Robert E. and Dolores (Fedash) Black. He attended Grand Ridge Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1979. He married Tina Gula in 1981. He received a certificate in diesel mechanics from Carl Sandburg College in December of 1998. Jim was a jack-of-all trades who loved trail riding, four wheelers and farming.
He is survived by his parents, Robert E. and Dolores Black of Grand Ridge; two sons, Jason (Megan) Black of Grand Ridge and Nathan Black of Streator; four beloved grandkids, Jacob, Jaron, Jorrick and Kieran; two brothers, Bobby (Marla) Black and Dave (Virg) Black Both of Streator; two sisters, Diane Black of Tinley Park and Linda (Mark)Pfalzgraf of Streator; and many nieces and nephews; ex wife, Tina Black of Streator.
He was preceded in death by his older sister, Cheryl Vogel. Pallbearers will be Alan Brewer, Kevin Chalfant, Jonathan LaValle, Gale Sneath, Rodney Vogel and Dax Unz.
