James “Jimmy” Stewart, a loving father and avid sports fan passed away suddenly on Friday, September 23th, 2022 at the age of 60. He was born January 26, 1962, to the late Thomas C. Stewart (1919-1976) and Alice M. Ravatt (1923-1969). He was a longtime resident of Burlington City, where he was born and raised.
He graduated from Burlington City High School in 1980 then went on to work at various chemical plants in the area. He loved Philly sports and was never afraid to show his passion for his favorite team “The Birds”. He was the kind of guy you wanted on your team for Trivia Night, a smart man who loved history and knew a lot about the most obscure topics, a man with the memory of an elephant.
Most will remember Jimmy by his joyful smile, his boisterous antics during family gatherings, his tie dye t-shirts and his many sayings (“I brought you in…”). He is survived by his five children, Angel, James “JT”, Danny, Andrew, Mikey and grandchildren; his sister Barbara, brother William “Bill”, sister-in-law Kathy and many other loving family members who generously cared for him.
