James T. Malseed, Jr. on Dec. 3, 2020 of Wildwood N.J.Loving father of Dawn Malseed (Ed Pollitt) and Carol (Chris) Harley and grandfather of Taylor & Robbie Alessandrine, Christopher & Aubrey Harley. Son of the late James T. Malseed, Sr & Margaret Malseed (nee Hudson). Brother of Margaret Wasson, Carol Robinson, & the late Tom Malseed. Uncle of Kevin, Susan, Karyn, & Beth, & the late Jimmy, Lisa, & Christopher. Also survived by his Aunt Elizabeth Knowlton, Uncle Bill Hudson, and close cousins Michelle Waters & Jim and Sharon known as Luke or Little Jimmy, he grew up in the Grays Ferry section of South Philly but moved to Southwest Philly to raise his family. He enjoyed playing pool, playing shuffleboard at The Firehouse Tavern in Wildwood, & watching the Philadelphia Eagles & Phillies. Jimmy was always entertaining friends and family with his witty one-liners and snarky sense of humor.Jimmy worked as a Rigger @ Frank W. Hake Rigging, Co., Eddystone, PA for 37 years from Age 17 – 55. Jimmy’s expertise was frequently requested due to his attention to detail and precision. At age 30, he supervised the team of Riggers charged with transportation and testing of Solid Rocket Boosters for the maiden voyage of Space Shuttle Columbia in 1981. Jim also supervised numerous missions for Nuclear Power Plants by moving their core reactors in or out of the stations in PA, NJ, and other states along eastern half of USA. Member of Ironworkers local 161 and 405.
