James “Jimmy” Larry Carpenter, Jr., 57, of Stonewood, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at home. He was born on December 1, 1964 in Garfield, NJ, a son of the late James Larry Carpenter, Sr. and Thelma Louise Swartz Carpenter.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Desiree McElwayne Carpenter. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his son, James “Bub” Carpenter, III and companion Alana Cosenza, Stonewood and his stepdaughter, Amber Michelle Smith, Colorado; one grandson, Aaron McElwayne; one brother, John Carpenter, Sr and Tina, Stonewood and children, John and Paige; one sister, Rebecca Carpenter Chipps of Elkins and children, Stephanie, Annie, Ashley, Carl, and Misty; several nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was a proud member of the Cherries and Choppers Club. He was a Tow Truck driver for Tom’s Towing and Repair and also drove for a taxi for Tom’s Taxi, and delivery driver for Dagwoods. He enjoyed model cars and collecting cars. He will be remembered as a loveable and honest person and friend to many.
