James “Jim” Shae, 73, of Okoboji passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Mercy One Hospital in Sioux City, IA.
Jim was born on October 25, 1946 in Sioux City, IA to Ed and Evelyn Shea. He graduated from East High School in Sioux City. Jim was a News Producer and Director for many years for channel 9 news in Sioux City. He later moved on to sell cars for Lincol/Mercury and Knoepfler Chevrolet in Sioux City. He later worked for Gateway Computer in North Sioux City, SD.
Jim was united in marriage to Patty Haefner on December 24, 1998 in Elk Point, SD. They later moved to the lakes area after Jim’s retirement. Jim was a workaholic, but his passion was spending time up at the Iowa Great Lakes where he was a boat enthusiast. He is survived by his wife Patty Shea of Okoboji; and 3 grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Kelly.
