James “Jim” Parr
James “Jim” Michael Parr, 56, of Wendell, died Sunday February 20, 2011 of an extended illness. He was surrounded by his family and his friends and Pastor Mike Hollomon at the time of his death.
Jim was born January 23, 1955, in Jerome, Idaho to Bill and Mary Parr, 27 minutes ahead of his twin sister. They joined an older sister and brother. Jim attended school in Wendell, Idaho, starting in the first and graduated from Wendell High School in 1973. He worked for his father and uncle in the meat business at Parr’s Lockers and later for his cousin, Rollin Parr. He also worked at Simerly’s and Scarrow Meats. He lived in Wendell his entire life.
Jim was a member of the Wendell Fire Department for 33 years, where he was currently serving as Captain, and enjoyed being part of the group very much.
Jim is survived by: his sister, Jane (Keith) Hill of Mackay, Idaho; his brother, John Parr of Wendell, Idaho; his twin sister, Pam (Charlie) Bogue, nephew, Matt (Wendy) Hill of Jerome, Idaho and niece, Debbie (Ronnie) Schaeffer of Pocatello, Idaho; great niece, Hayley Hill and great nephew, William Hill and many cousins and friends and his extended family- the Wendell Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
