James (Jim) Lovell Larsen, 77, of Sunset UT, peacefully passed away at home on October 17, 2022 after a difficult battle with cancer.
Jim was born on December 5, 1944 the second child to James LaMar Larsen and Lillian Lovell Larsen in the bustling city of Delta, UT.
After Jim graduated from Weber High in 1963, he pursued a degree in Electronics at Weber College. After a year, he joined the Navy for 4 years. Jim was a Vietnam veteran and served his country proudly. He was passionate about avionics and found employment at Hill AFB repairing aircraft electronics. He loved what he did for a living.
In 1972 Jim married for the first time and from that union came a beautiful daughter, Heather Dawn. They were later divorced.
In 1976, he met Antoinette (Ann) Sleeper at a friends house. Jim retired in 1993 after 28 years in the field. While retired, Jim had time to pursue caring for his disabled wife. Jim and Ann had just celebrated their 46th anniversary.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents James LaMar Larsen and Lillian Lovell Larsen and his sister Connie Rae Larsen Niemann.
He is survived by his brother, Gary Evard Larsen and sisters, Jeanette Larsen Skeem, JoAnn Larsen Kyser and Rosemary Larsen Baker (Chris).
Jim is also survived by his daughter Heather Larsen Doutre, two granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
The past few months have been very difficult, a loving thank you is for the family, neighbors, people in Jim‘s ward and Elevation Hospice for all their care and support.
