James “Jim” Lee Alberts, 69, of Anderson, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on January 15, 1952, in Anderson, and was the son of Samuel L. and Daisy E. (Stroud) Alberts. Jim was a 1970 graduate of Madison Heights High School and lived in Anderson his entire life working as a truck driver. He loved the outdoors, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed motorcycling, playing cards, and old movies. He was also a member of the Anderson Eagles and the Anderson Auxilliary Police.
Jim leaves behind his son, Nathan Alberts, of Anderson; daughter, Amy Alberts, of Anderson; significant other of 32 years, Connie Bell, of Anderson; sister, Sandy (Alberts) Fowler of Alexandria; grandsons, Nicholas, Noah, Hunter, RJ, and Levi; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and very special pets, Scooter and Cinnamon. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Samuel Neil Alberts and Richard “Rick” Nelson Alberts; and his children’s mother, Sharon Kay (Thacker) Alberts.
