James L. “Jim” Moore Sr., age 85 of Midland, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at MediLodge of Midland. The son of the late Cecil and Anne (Holzinger) Moore was born April 15, 1936 in Gary, Indiana. Jim served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

In the early 1970’s, Jim bought a Mack truck and drove as an over the road truck driver for many years. He enjoyed talking about his travels and the roadways he would take.

Surviving are his children, James “Jamie” Moore Jr. (Robin Inman), David Moore, Cheryl Moore; stepchildren, Jennifer (Shaun) Warner, Julianna (Steve) McFarland; grandchildren, Shasta, Jamie Marie, Mollee, Allison, Makayla, Leif, Hannah, Joseph, Kailey, Lane, Nathan, Courtney, James, and Aileen. Jim had many great grandchildren and many friends he treated as family. Also surviving is Jim’s sister, Carole (Jesse) Morr, their children, Stephanie and Nick and nieces Kimberly and Krista.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Bernice “Angi” Patrick; former spouse, Carol Moore; twin sons, Michael and Mark Moore; stepson, Clay Williamson; and brother, Eugene Moore.

Jim enjoyed watching ballgames and westerns on tv, taking care of his dogs, many chickens, barn cats, and whatever other animals wandered into his garage. He was a generous man and frequently impersonated Santa.
