James E. “Jim” Fultz, age 84, of U.S. Hwy 60 West, Olive Hill, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

 

Born October 13, 1937, in Olive Hill, he was the son of the late Russell and Rosa Thompson Fultz.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his five brothers and sisters:  Woody Fultz, Golda Burchett, Myrtle Logan, Earnest Fultz, and Nancy Logan.

 

On June 14, 1957, Jim was united in marriage to his loving wife of 64 years, Anna Mae Easton Fultz, who survives.  They were the parents of one daughter, Patty Ann Fultz Smedley, who passed away December 26, 2011. 

 

In addition to his wife, Jim’s memory will be cherished by two grandsons and their wives, Joshua Smedley and Megan of Olive Hill and Jeremy Smedley and Michaela of West Liberty; and three great grandchildren, Kyle Ray, Savannah, and Jaxon.  Other survivors include son-in-law Jeff Smedley of Clearfield, nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends.

 

Jim served in the U.S. Army, worked for 37 years at Cowden Mfg. as a supervisor in the Cutting Department, and then worked in the Shipping Department at Guardian for 15 years. Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and all kinds of sports, especially U.K. basketball.
