James “Jim” E. Crowe, 57, of Portage, formerly Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, December 20, 2021.
He was born March 26, 1964, in Lafayette to Floyd Crowe and Virginia “Gini” (Coole) Siple. He was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. Jim worked as a Plant Manager for Tower Automotive in Chicago.
He enjoyed all sports and was an avid White Sox and Purdue fan.
Jim is survived by his children, Dylan Tumey and Connor Crowe both of Lafayette; his parents, Floyd (Marsha) Crowe and Virginia Siple; 8 Siblings, Teressa (Gary) Russell of Lithia, FL, Kim (Eric) Suess of Indianapolis, Susie (Jesse) Snider of Attica, Matthew Crowe of Lafayette, Mark (Beth) Siple of Columbus, OH, Traci (Kenny) Prescott of Whiteland, Sherri (Michael Mayhill of Vadilia, OH, and Jeff Strantz.
He was preceded in death by his step-father Sam Siple.
