James Dalgetty “Jim”, 93, Nampa, passed away peacefully at home on Monday March 5, 2018 with his family at his side.

Jim was born on December 6, 1924 at Woodrow, Colorado. He was the youngest of five children born to George and Elizabeth Dalgetty. Jim spent his youth on the ranch in Colorado before serving in the Army during WWII. He moved to Vale, Oregon where he worked for his brother-in-law before joining the Farmers Coop. He managed the store in Cambridge, ID for many years before moving to Nampa and joining Producers Supply Coop where he worked until his retirement.

Jim married the love of his life, Frances Teresa Hahn, on August 10, 1951. Jim and Frances were blessed with 6 children. They loved to travel and spent many winters in Arizona and on the Oregon Coast. During his life, Jim taught his family the values of hard work, commitment and love. He was the original fixer upper and would often “fix” things better than new. Jim had a great sense of humor and there are many fond memories of the practical jokes he played on family.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother George, and sisters Mary, Betty and Elsie. Jim is survived by his loving wife Frances and his children – Roy (Nampa) Dave & Bridgett (Maui) Teresa & Dave (Melba), Sandra (Nampa), Brian and Shammy (Nampa), Patty & Mike (Caldwell), 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
