James “Jim” Bobela 89, of Grafton passed away on Friday November 12, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 16, 1932 in Rosemont. A son of the late Charles and Julia Koch Bobela. Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley Bailey Bobela, who were united in marriage February 8, 1964 spending over fifty seven wonderful years together.

James was a graduate of Flemington High School, class of 1950. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He worked at the Pruntytown Correctional Center, at the Moundsville Correctional Center and the Salem Correctional Center. Jim was a member of the St Augustine Catholic Church. He liked to work in the garden, take long walks in the woods, listen to the radio and do the poka dance, and loved to volunteer at the Bread of Life Mission. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and loved the time he spent with his children and grandchildren making precious memories with each of them.

In addition to his wife Jim is survived by a one daughter, Stephanie Pysell (Steven), three sons, James M Bobela (Virginia), Charlie Bobela, and Michael Bobela, five grandchildren, Laura Kennedy (Stephen), Katie Carpenter (Mark), James Jr. Bobela (Gayle), Josh Bobela (Ashley), and Jazmin Bobela, four great grandchildren, Blake, Gabriella, Colton, and Griffin, and sister Helen Bobela .

In addition to his parents Jim is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Honce, and three brothers, Mike Bobela, George Bobela, and John Bobela.
