James Jefferson Graham, age 89, of Burlington City died Saturday, October 20, 2007, at the Virtua Health and Rehab Center in Lumberton, NJ. Mr. Graham was born and raised in Gulfport, MS, and was a longtime resident of Burlington City.

He was an army veteran of World War II. Campaigns included the Normandy invasion, the Huertgen Forest, and the Battle of the Bulge, where he earned the Bronze Star. He was employed by the City of Burlington as a landscape gardener, retiring in 1982 after over twenty years of service. He was an avid gardener who took great pride in his tomato plants and roses.

Predeceased by son John E. Graham, Mr. Graham is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie (nee Houser), his daughter Sharon Marie Graham, of Burlington, his son, and daughter-in-law James J. and Ellen Graham, II. He was the loving Pop-Pop to Bridget, J.J., III, and Neal Graham.

One of ten children, he is survived by his sisters and brother, Adell Klein, Nicey Roberts, Flora Hodges, and Allen “Junior” Graham, all of Gulf Port, MS. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
