James Jack Colmone, 92, of Oglesby, formerly of Peru, passed away Thursday morning, March 3, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Colmone was born on February 25, 1924 in LaSalle to Frank and Concetta (DiMatteo) Colmone. He married Joan Marie Daum on October 13, 1951 in St. Josephs Church in Peru. He served in the Army during WWII. Jack worked as a foreman at Westclox in Peru for 34 years and retired from the Peru Public Schools having worked as a custodian for 8 years. He served as a Red Coat at Illinois Valley Community Hospital for 20 years. He was a former member of the Queen of Holy Rosary Church in LaSalle, Holy Name Society of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, Peru VFW and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; two children, Diane (Michael) Ulis of Oglesby and Ronald (Bernadette) Colmone of Arlington Heights, IL; six grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey (Tara) Ulis, Bradley Ulis, Brian Colmone, Joseph (Kathleen) Colmone, Kathryn Colmone and Kelly Colmone; three great-grandchildren, Jack, Emma and Hunter Ulis; one sister, Connie Tonarelli of LaSalle and one sister in-law, Mary Colmone of Peru.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Anthony, John, Samuel, Joseph, Frank and Vincent Colmone and two sisters, Angelina Pattelli and Madeline Gatza.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Ulis, Bradley Ulis, Brian Colmone, Joseph Colmone, John Colmone and David Tonarelli. Honorary pallbearers will be Kathryn Colmone and Kelly Colmone.
