James J. McPhillips, on December 29, 2020, of Washington Twp. Age 89. Beloved husband Connie (nee Keane). Devoted father of Connie Cook (Bob), Jim McPhillips (Karen), Bill McPhillips, and Marian Helsel (Gregg). Loving Gaggag to 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
James was an army veteran born and raised in Philadelphia. He was a proud graduate of North Catholic High School and Lasalle College. He was a successful salesman for over forty nine years. Additionally, he was a teacher, coach and had many jobs after retirement. He touched many lives while keeping his focus on his family. He was married to his wife, Connie, for over sixty two years and they had four children. He was present in the lives of all of his nineteen grandchildren. He gave them and their parents the precious gift of knowing they were unconditionally loved. Anyone who knew him knew he had a tremendous sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He will forever be in our hearts. We hope that anyone that knew him will honor his memory by sharing love and laughter. James enjoyed spending time with his family and was the #1 fan of his grandchildren’s activities.
