James Imre Herczeg, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Maria Herczeg with whom he shared over 62 years of marriage. Born in Kondorfa, Hungary, he was the son of the late Imre and Regina (Medics) Herczeg. James worked as a Machine Operator for Prior Coated Metals for most of his life until retiring in 1998. He was a member of the former St. John’s Capistrano Catholic Church, Bethlehem and a current member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
Survivors: His memory will be cherished by his loving wife Maria; son James I. Herczeg Jr. and his wife Suzannah of Sykesville, MD; sister Monika Safar of Hungary; brother Les Herczeg and his wife Shirley of Allentown; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his loving daughter Mary Dussinger and sister Julianna Pali.
