Departed from this life on Thursday June 24, 2004 at the age of 82 years old at Plaza Care Center. He was born to the late Ellsworth and Celia (Mitchell) Henry on November 27, 1921 in Atlanta, GA. He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age.
He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Floretta Diane Burley of Ypsilanti, MI; two sons, James E. Henry of Toledo, OH and Terrance Henry
of Flint, MI; three sisters, Florretta (Peter) Watson of Pensacola, FL, Myrtle Nealy (Jesse) Johnson of Tucson, AZ, and Mary (Frank) Cherry of Toledo, OH, and a special niece, Miranda “Randi”.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and Charles Henry.
James worked many jobs, but was a security guard for many years. He attended school in Ypsilanti, MI, where he lived for twenty five years.
James will be missed by many grandchildren, many many nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
