James F Yazzie 76, passed away peacefully on April 13th, 2022 at home in Upper Fruitland, NM. He was born in Cove AZ; Navajo Clan is, Áshiihí dinéè, Táchii’nii dine’é, Hashk’aahadzohí dine’é, Honágháahnii dine’é. He is survived by his wife Janie Yazzie, brother Freddie Yazzie, four sons David McGee, Garrett Cadman, Stevenson Begay and Brandon Begay; eight daughters Carolyn Yazzie, Jami DeBano, Rochelle Yazzie, Tina Ulrich, Marci Thomas, Christina Herrera, Joni Eaglefeather and Brooklynn Yazzie; twenty- three grandchildren John Huntington, Jessica DeBano, Anna Lena McGee, Tiffany Elwood, Taylor Elwood, Chenoah Elwood, Ethan Elwood, Kayleigh Cadman, Kragen Cadman, Kaylyn Cadman, Kade Cadman, Brandon Begay Jr., Bailey Begay, Daniel Yazzie, Isabella Yazzie, Kymber Yazzie, Marcel Pete, Angelynn Pete, Makyra Thomas, Kailena Thomas, Alexander Watson, Madillen Herrera
Jamal Eaglefeather and Brooklynn Yazzie; three great grandchildren Preston Huntington, Olivia Pearson and Nikko Graham. He was proceeded in death by his parents Jimmy and Mary Yazzie; four brothers Peter Yazzie Sr., Deswoody Yazzie, Harry F Yazzie and Davin Yazzie; three sisters Elizabeth Silver, AnnaMae Aloyoisis and Bessie Yazzie. James had a kind smile and gentle manner; he shared his love of life with us all and he will deeply be missed. He was a welder for over 30 yrs at PESCO, enjoyed retirement for the last 10 yrs, and was a devoted member of the NAC. All who knew him remembered him most by being a giver. We love you always and forever!
