James Frank Westbrook 1928-2016 Mr. Frank Westbrook, 87, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at his home in Sargent. He was born August 17, 1928, to the late James Grady Westbrook & Velma Phillips Westbrook.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Masdon Westbrook. Frank was an active member of the Sargent Community where he was born and raised. He worked at Sargent Mill, later Bibb Manufacturing, was past Master of Sylvan Lodge #429 F&AM, and received his 60-year apron. He was a longtime member of Sargent Baptist Church. Frank was instrumental in founding Boy Scout Troop 45 at Sargent Baptist.
Survivors include sons, Mike (Brenda) Westbrook, Randy (Donna) Westbrook, Jeff (Dale) Westbrook; daughter, Melinda (Terry) Ellis; special friend, Joyce Thompson; brothers, Joe Westbrook, Terry (Avril) Westbrook; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
