He is also survived by his former wife, Helen G. Wilber. Born in Denver, Colorado, Jim lived in Glen Burnie for 3 years and prior to that has lived in Greenbelt (Maryland), Florida and Buffalo (New York). Jim served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He traveled all throughout Europe playing in the military band. He attended college at the University of Illinois. Before retiring, Jim worked in carpentry for many years. Since a young age, Jim has been musically gifted.
