James Frederick Teague, of Crawfordsville, Died at 12:25 pm Monday in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.After serving in the US Marine Corps from 1956-1958, Mr. Teague was employed as a school teacher for 34 years. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1962 and his master’s degree in 1963 from Indiana State University. He taught for the Shakamak School Corporation in 1963.

He then began teaching for the Crawfordsville Community School Corporation at Joseph F. Tuttle Middle School in 1964, where he taught for 33 years until his retirement in 1997. He was employed by DeKalb where he managed the summer work program for 25 years. During his retirement he enjoyed golf and woodworking. He was born May 24, 1938 in Kingman, IN, the son of Frederick and Imogene (Harvey) Teague. On December 18, 1960, he married Carolyn Grimes in Crawfordsville, IN. She survives.

Other survivors include 3 sons, Greg (Dawn) Teague of Carmel, IN; Jeff (Sandra) Teague of Elmhurst, IL; and Brad (Kerry) Teague of Avon, IN; 7 grandchildren, MacKenzie, Alex, Rachel, Alyssa, Emma, Ryan and Andy; 2 sisters, Christy (Mike) Lambert of Pinellas Park, FL; Sue (Bob) Hoppe, of Dayton, IN; 2 brothers Bill Teague of Crawfordsville, Tony Teague of Frankfort, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Danny Teague.
