James Francis Perry, 92, a resident of the LaSalle Veterans Home, and formerly of Lostant, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at St. Margarets Hospital, Spring Valley.
Mr. Perry was born September 29, 1917 in Spring Valley to Frank and Belle (Haney) Perry. He married Loretta Mary Wos, on April 22, 1948, in Chicago. He was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. in World War II Pacific Theatre in Saipan, Okinawa, and Tarawa. He was a cattle buyer and owned Perry Cattle Company in Lostant. He was a member of St. Johns Church, Lostant.
He is survived by his wife Loretta of Peru; 1 daughter, Rita (Joseph) Zeeb, of Waverly, Iowa; 5 sons, Lee (Lynn) Perry of Oglesby, Kent (Patty) Perry of Schaumburg, IL, Lance Perry of Madison, WI, Gregg Perry of Champaign, IL, and Brian (Leanne) Perry of Highlands Ranch, CO; 5 granddaughters; and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded is death by his parents; 1 brother; and 2 sisters.
