Uncasville – James F. Mileski, Jr., 82, of Rankin Court died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.
James was born in Norwich on September 2, 1932 son of the late James F. and Mabelle (Conklin) Mileski.
Mr. Mileski was united in marriage to Bernice Rankin on April 17, 1954 at the Central Baptist Church in Norwich. Mrs. Mileski survives her husband of 60 years. He worked for 36 years at the Electric Boat Co. in Groton retiring as a Welding Supervisor in 1987. James served his country honorably in the Army during the Korean War. He was an avid Bowler at the Norwich Ten Pin and Holiday Bowl in Groton.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by his children James F. Mileski, III of Uncasville, Michael Mileski and his wife, Joanne of Griswold, Robin Tine of Norwich, and Dianalin Bruce and partner Jim Sowders of Uncasville, one sister, Merle Ellis of Gilbert, AZ, six grandchildren, James Iv, Jennie, Jillian, Colton, Alexandra and Veronica, one great grandson, Zachary. He was predeceased by a grandson, Seth Tine, one brother Bert Mileski and two sisters, Joan Bassetti and Celia Mileski.
