James “Jim” Lynch, 83 of Glen Burnie passed away at his residence on November 15, 2014. Jim was born on May 30, 1931in Bangor, Maine. In 1952 Mr. Lynch enlisted in the U.S. Navy and trained as Communications Technician. He retired from the Navy in 1978 as a CTA1. It was in the Navy that he met his future wife, Bernadean. They were married on February 16, 1957. After he retired from the Navy he spent over 25 years with NSA. He was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels with the Pascal Center in Glen Burnie and a two time recipient for the Volunteer of the Year Award. Jim was an active member of the Ferndale Community Club and he also enjoyed playing pool.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Bernadean Lynch; and his sons-in-law, Ray Holland and Patrick Clark. He is survived by his daughters, Jean Holland of Woodland, WA and Anne Clark of Glen Burnie. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Rachael, Timothy and Daniel Clark and Scott, Brandy and Roy Holland and six great-grandchildren.
