James F. Hammock, 78, of Anderson, passed away on September 28, 2014 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
He was born on May 6, 1936 in Overton County, Tennessee and resided most of his life in Anderson. He retired from Kroger. He was a member of Noblesville Masonic Lodge and enjoyed golfing, playing poker, and loved to fish.
James is survived by his loving spouse of 46 years, Julia (Smith) Hammock of Anderson; children, Terri (Edward) Curtis of Anderson, IN, Rick Hammock of New Orleans, LA, Donnie (Kathy) Hammock of Chicago, IL, Gary Hammock of Spencer, IN and Darrell (Teresa) Hammock of Bloomington, IN; siblings, Thelma, Delores, Peggy, Wanda (Grady), Judy, Jackie (Debbie) and Jessie (Misty); 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Happy (Abston) Hammock; father, James F. Hammock, Sr.; sons, Ashley Ross, David Hammock and Larry Hammock; siblings, John Hammock, Jimmie Hammock and Billie Jo Clark.
